Alternate Route: News

Well we finally finished our new CD "Cozumel Moon". Now Steve-o has taken off to Afghanistan. He is doing fine at forward operating base Salerno near the Pakistan border. Please remember him as he is doing his part to rid the world of terrorism. Stan and I are playing when we can. We will list dates when we get some booked. Needless to say we never made it to the studio in 2008; however, 2009 has been a great year. We finally made it back in the studio and have recorded the new album. We had a great time on the project and worked with a great sound engineer at A & S Music in Nederland. We expect to have a CD release party sometime in September and will have a date and location real soon. We have still been giging once a month at Thirsty's" and having a great time. The owners and staff have been great to work with. Watch for a new post soon.

Well 2007 is gone and 2008 is half over. My how the time has flown. Despite our meager efforts we still haven't been to the studio to record the new album.
We have the material and the money but can't manage the time. It sure is funny how life and work can get in the way of music; however, we sure hope to get it done before the end of the year.
Despit all the distractions, we're having a great year and have been playing a lot of private functions and few public shows too.
Earlier this year we had a chance to play at the Cowboy hall of fame in Fort Worth and have played a recent show at "Thirsty's" in Beaumont.

Spring is upon us. Alternate Route recently played for a great crowd at the Beaumont Police Departments award banquet. Keep an eye out for upcoming dates this spring.
